ABOUT LOUISE O’DWYER

My private practice is in the inner city where I offer therapy sessions for individuals and groups. I love my work and I take great pleasure in watching people gain the support they need to strengthen themselves and their lives respectively.

I’ve completed a four year Advanced Clinical Training in Gestalt Therapy, a Bachelor of Education and a Performing Arts degree.  Alongside my therapy practice, I’ve written and performed in critically-acclaimed theatre productions, directed high school productions, and taught various workshops on embodiment, public speaking and performing skills.

I have an ongoing interest in developing a spiritual life, which was initially nurtured through my Steiner school education. I currently frequent the Zen Buddhist monastery in Porcupine Ridge, where I practices mindfulness in the tradition of Thich Nhat Hanh and Plum Village. I am also a guitarist-pianist-singer, and have a lifelong deep love for playing music.
